چکیده

Aspect-Oriented Software Development (AOSD) and ModelDriven Development (MDD) are often said to be alike since both approaches are based on the selection of elements (i.e. join points in AOSD and model elements in MDD) and their subsequent adaptation (i.e. weaving in AOSD and transformation in MDD). But does this mean that AOSD and MDD are in fact two words for pretty much the same thing? In this position paper, we argue that there are essential differences between the aspect-oriented and the model-driven approach.

Refining Feature Driven Development - A methodology for early aspects

This position paper focuses on refining an agile processes approach named FDD to make it more aspect-oriented, hence a natural candidate for early aspects. We show that only a slight refinement is needed to adapt FDD to aspect-oriented development. Within the refinement, all requirements, be they concerns (architectural, non-functional and functional) or properties or rules, are described by us...

مروری نظام‌مند بر مهندسی نرم‌افزار جنبه‌گرا: گام‌ها، روش‌ها و چالش‌ها

Aspect-oriented engineering has been introduced as a new development approach based on modularization in order to increase the maintainability and reusability of software. Aspect-oriented software engineering uses the concept of aspect to modularize crosscutting concerns. Today, this approach is considered in the both research and industrial environments. Different methods has been proposed for...

Aspect-Oriented Analysis: a MDA Based Approach

Actually, there are many approaches to deal with crosscutting concerns in early stages in software development. One is MDSOC, which promotes the encapsulation of all relevant kinds of concerns (dimensions) and their integration. MDSOC starts from an initial problem decomposition to design the system. No discussion about how this decomposition should be carried is presented. Based on this defici...

Aspects across Software Life Cycle: A Goal-Driven Approach

Goal modeling fits model-driven engineering (MDE) in that it captures stakeholder concerns and the interdependencies using concepts that are much less bound to the underlying implementation technology and are much closer to the problem languages. Aspect-oriented software development (AOSD) provides language constructs to facilitate the representation of multiple perceptions and to alleviate tan...

A Model-Driven Decision Support System for Software Cost Estimation (Case Study: Projects in NASA60 Dataset)

Estimating the costs of software development is one of the most important activities in software project management. Inaccuracies in such estimates may cause irreparable loss. A low estimate of the cost of projects will result in failure on delivery on time and indicates the inefficiency of the software development team. On the other hand, high estimates of resources and costs for a project wil...
